Do your formulations contain synthetic ingredients?
No. We compound using cold-pressed plant oils, unrefined butters, and active botanical extracts. You will never find synthetic dyes, sulfates (SLS/SLES), phthalates, parabens, or petroleum derivatives in our formulas.
Do your products contain fragrance or essential oils?
We never formulate with synthetic fragrance oils. When essential oils or pure plant aromatics are introduced, they are compounded at strict, dermal-safe therapeutic thresholds for specific skin profiles. For reactive and delicate skin barriers, we offer completely fragrance-free and essential-oil-free alternatives.
Why don't your cleansers produce high-foaming suds?
Massive, airy foam in mass-market cleansers is typically produced by synthetic sulfates and artificial detergents that disrupt epidermal lipids. Because our cleansing bars are saponified directly from rich plant oils and unrefined butters, they generate a dense, micro-creamy lather that lifts surface debris while safeguarding barrier hydration.
Why does my bar look slightly different from the online photograph?
Because we formulate in small, artisanal batches using raw botanicals, clays, and cold-pressed oils, subtle seasonal variations in tone and texture are natural. We do not standardize our batches with artificial pigments or synthetic binders. What you receive is unadulterated plant chemistry.

Are BARE products suitable for sensitive or reactive skin?
Yes. Every formula is architected with a barrier-first philosophy. We deliberately select soothing, biocompatible lipid bases and calming botanicals like colloidal oat, calendula, and squalane to reduce reactivity and support moisture retention.
Can the cleansing bars be used on both the face and body?
Yes. Our bars are compounded with high superfat ratios of nourishing plant lipids, making them mild enough for delicate facial skin while remaining effective for the entire body.
How long does a cleansing bar typically last?
With proper care, each bar lasts approximately 3 to 4 weeks of daily use. To preserve its longevity, keep the bar elevated on a well-draining soap dish between rituals so it dries fully.
